What's been happening in Australia? - 2022 Highlights

What a year 2022 turned out to be for everyone at TXM! As well as our Group formation, there was an array of great achievements across each of our businesses around the globe. As we start to turn our attention towards 2023, here’s a recap of some of our biggest moments from Australia last year…
TXM continued to grow

We capped off a great year by welcoming SustainAbility Consulting and SustainDigital to the Group, adding new technology recruitment capabilities to our portfolio and significantly increasing our presence in Australia.

Also, our technology consultancy specialists, Step5, expanded down under, meaning they will now provide digital transformation solutions for clients in two continents.

2XM Healthcare completed its first full trading year and continues to go from strength to strength, opening new offices in Sydney and Brisbane and broadening their reach across the country. They also introduced a new specialist Doctor division to continue to support the Australian Healthcare System in plugging many of the much-needed workforce gaps, and their rural and remote Nursing team grew to a team of six, breaking records month by month along the way.

Events were back

We attended marquee industry events such as InnoTrans in September and AusRAIL in December where 2XM Recruit and 2XM Consult hosted a blue tie event that welcomed over 60 industry leaders to reconnect and expand their networks.

2XM Recruit also launched their inaugural Women in Rail event at their office in Sydney which saw over 70 rail professionals come together to learn why more women are choosing a career in rail and discuss what more can be done to highlight the industry as a viable career option for young women.

You can read more about the event here.

We broke records and achieved great things together

Alongside the launch of their new website, 2XM Recruit broke their all-time monthly GP record and continue to grow at an incredible rate. As do 2XM Healthcare who saw record profits over the course of the year.

We also celebrated our people with a number of well-deserved promotions across each of our Australian businesses thanks to clear progression paths and training support such as 2XM Healthcare’s consultant training programme which created Traineeships for three consultants, and as a result has created pathways to RC, SC and MC for those individuals.

To reward their incredible hard work, our teams enjoyed fun social events such as a day out at the Melbourne Cup, art classes, Christmas parties, and Highflyer Lunch Clubs which recognised those who embodied our company values by going The Xtra Mile.

We even introduced our Employee Benefit Trust as another way of recognising our people and the exceptional work they do day in, day out.

So, what’s next?

We hope to make 2023 just as special – a fresh new year full of opportunity and we can’t wait to see what it has in store for us.

Anthony Lambert, 2XM Healthcare Managing Director, comments: “2XM Healthcare have enjoyed a whirlwind first 20 months of trading with individuals in the business being afforded the chance to learn, develop and drive the business forward. This shows no sign of slowing into 2023. A perfect storm of a highly candidate short market, a collaborative energised team and some clear goals and objectives mean that I am expecting yet another record breaking year and beyond. Watch this space!”

2XM Recruit Directors, Charles Seward and Sam Turner, add: “2XM Recruit have been through a transformative year over the course of 2022, seeing us strengthen our leadership team and strategic objectives through the addition of our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal), which will see us ultimately continue to challenge our thinking and ways of working to achieve growth across GP, Headcount, and Contractors numbers by the time we arrive in 2025. Couple this with our brand-new career ladder, competency framework and review system, the opportunities for new and existing employees is huge. We have enjoyed working with our new Regional Director and look forward to the challenges of the year ahead, intent on setting new records and all-time highs at 2XM Recruit. Also, watch this space for details on our first ever annual company trip!”

Darran Bucher, Group Regional Director, comments: “2022 was a great year for the TXM Group in Australia. We welcomed new businesses to the group, launched new service lines, implemented new initiatives, achieved a companywide record, promoted multiple people, and implemented new technology tools….and this wasn’t even all of it! This has set the platform for 2023 and beyond. With a clear strategy, plan, and purpose, we are excited about what 2023 holds and what we can achieve for our clients, candidates, and colleagues at TXM Group.”
